Corduroy

Since the new hole-in-the-wall cafe Corduroy has opened its doors, the Edible Outdoor Rooms as become a good hangout spot to enjoy your coffee in the sun.

Welcome to the blog of our recently completed installation Edible Outdoor Rooms, in Foster Street Surry Hills. The project is inspired by our desire to see alternate uses for public spaces in our city.

The Edible Outdoor Rooms are small public spaces or parklets of seating and planters filled with an assortment of edible plants, cared for by the local residents, workers and business owners. The City of Sydney encourages the greening of outdoor city spaces, and particularly Foster Street, a growing creative and entertainment hub.
